Kim Jong Il
North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Il has died. In 2008, Kim is believed to have suffered a stroke. Although the announcer said the cause of death was due to physical and mental over-work, reports say he died from heart attack on a train while traveling.
The announcement of the death last Saturday was made last Monday by state television from the capital, Pyongyang. North Korea has been grooming Kim’s third son to take over power from his father.

Last Wednesday, a federal judge James Zegel sentenced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich to 14 years in prison for 18 counts of corruption. Blagojevich gave a dramatic apology to his state, his family and the judge, in which he said he is “unbelievably sorry,” before the sentence was given.
Ex-governor Blagojevichwas convited back in June after the jury found him guilty for trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat that Barack Obama vacated. This includes bribery and extortion. The impeached governor reports to prison on February 16. Read the rest of this entry »
