New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
To all jazz fans out there, the 2012 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival’s lineup has been released!
The headliners are The Eagles, the Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, and John Mayer. National acts will include Zac Brown Band, Herbie Hancock, My Morning Jacket, Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, Jill Scott and Florence & the Machine. Home-grown talents such as Irma Thomas, Allen Toussaint and Pete Fountain will represent Louisiana.
The festival will be held for two weekends, April 27 – May 6 at the Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans.
Jazz Fest 2012 will include a 50th celebration of the Preservation Hall, founded in 1961 to protect and honor New Orleans jazz.
Tickets will go on sale Wednesday.
