Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green will miss the entire season due to an aortic aneurysm. The diagnosis was made during a physical for the 2011-2012 NBA season.
The 25-year-old joined the Celtics last season via trade. He played his first three season of his career with the Seattle Supersonics and Oklahoma City Thunder. His averages at 13.9 points per game and 5.5 rebounds.
Jeff Green’s one year contract with the Celtics will be voided since he wasn’t able to pass the physical. Although according to the team, Green is expected to make a full recovery and be ready to play for the 2012-2013 season.
