So the NBA finally approved a Chris Paul trade. And so the athlete is indeed headed to Los Angeles.
The New Orleans Hornets traded Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers for a very big price. For the Clippers to get Chris Paul, they had to send guard Eric Gordon, forward Al-Farouq Aminu, center Chris Kaman AND a first-round draft choice. Since the Hornets are owned by the league, NBA Commissioner David Stern had to give the nod of approval for the deal to be sealed. And he did.
Reports say that Chris Paul will be getting $16.4 million this year and an amnesty option for the 2012-13 season for $17.8 million.
Paul, 26, is a four-time All Star player with an average of 18.7 points and 9.8 assists last season.
