The Houston office of the Stanford Money Group was raided by U.S. Marshals today, according to a Reuters witness on the scene. About fifteen agents, some wearing jackets identified themselves as U.S. Marshals, entered the lobby of Stanford’s office in the Houston Galleria area, the witness declared.
Houston-based Stanford Financial Group, which explains it oversees more than $50 bill. ( 35.1 billion pounds ) of assets, is being investigated by the U.S. Government, according to somebody acquainted with the subject.
The N.Y. Times claimed that U.S. regulators had charged 3 top Stanford execs, including Robert Allen Stanford, of a crime.
